Te Whare Mahana Case Study
Te Whare Mahana embarked on a comprehensive journey to enhance their bicultural practices in alignment with Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the Treaty of Waitangi. This transformative process began with a workshop for staff and governance to understand Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and subsequent think tanks that engaged managers, team leaders, and the Board of Trustees in exploring how Te Tiriti intersected with the organisation's practices and systems. Through collaborative sense-making, the groups identified strengths, resource requirements, and next steps. Insights were synthesised over time into a comprehensive bicultural plan.
