To support ongoing learning and action, follow-up Think Tanks are offered for Senior teams, Board of Trustees, and teaching teams, which focus on activating Te Tiriti o Waitangi through Te Mātaiaho, localised curriculum approaches, and Aotearoa New Zealand Histories/Social Science learning areas. Think Tanks provide participants with an opportunity to explore and apply their learning, share ideas, and develop practical strategies for incorporating and aligning Te Tiriti o Waitangi into their work.

• To build the capacity of participants to enact equitable and just practices. 
• To help participants develop their understanding of the context and history of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and explore the impact of racism and anti-racism in our society. 
• Provide participants with an opportunity to build on and develop their insights and perspectives, and explore practical ways of taking action toward a more inclusive and equitable society.

• To understand and build on participants’ appreciation of the unique context in Aotearoa New Zealand, created through Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

• To gain an understanding of our country’s founding document/s, the events that preceded and followed the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the impacts over time and today.

• Develop a broad understanding of Aotearoa Histories including He Whakaputanga me Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

• Explore the history and constructs of racism and anti-racism through a mindful approach.

• Leave connected, inspired, informed, and ready for action, having explored learning in a way that is deliberate, mindful, and energetic.

• Te Tiriti o Waitangi Partnership is the first standard of practice, and we help schools, leaders and teachers to give effect to this in a way that radically improves outcomes for learners.

• Teachers who understand and apply Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice understand, teach and lead in a culturally responsive way that meets the diverse needs of all learners, leading to equitable learning environments, opportunities, and outcomes.

• Systematically and deliberately using Te Tiriti-centric practice to evaluate and guide school, class and teacher practice creates a thriving culture where everyone achieves.

• Understand the origin and history of the education system in Aotearoa, and how colonisation has shaped and impacted education.

• Recognise how the education system has contributed to systemic deprivation of tangata whenua, and understand how to act - from this day forward - in a way that is Treaty centric. 

• Explore and understand bias, and recognise situations when you can use strategies to ensure you check your bias before acting.

• Be empowered to walk and work in your educational setting as Tangata Tiriti, and in the process empower others to do so.
